Engineered Softwood

Engineered Softwood is made by cross-laminating layers of wood together, alternating the direction of the grain, to form a larger composite piece.

Because wood expands and contracts in the grain direction, by distributing the strength of the wood along that grain in both directions, the result is a product which is much stronger and stiffer than the sum of its parts as it is less susceptible to the effects of moisture and temperature change.
